Hello Nigel Togpi,
I am very happy reading your message that kavreli.com is going among many people seeking about kavre. You are right that the people now a days going very selfish and because of this selfishness lots of INGOs are out from nepal. My village also not in the exception. Except this the people like Dr. Giri that you talking about, gives some people encouragement to develop their birth place. I am in the web designing field so, from my place I am trying to do a little for my place.
I am still not reached to the goal of kavreli.com but it\'s catching it\'s way towards it, which can be noticed by the comments of viewers like you. When I search my district on the internet I found lots of foreign ngo / ingo sites which shows their social works in kavre but my village is far from their sight.
You can see my village on http://www.kavreli.com/directory.php?id=6 this link.
thank you.

While was checking on information about Kavre district to visit Namobuddha, I was forwarded by a friend about kavreli.com. I must say it is a good initiative, and hope you will add more detailed information soon.
I also saw interesting comments on a gentle Nepalese person and his work. Yes, indeed, this gentleman, who I know personally for many years, has tried very hard to do a great job in his birth village, Saping, but it is not easy to work in a country that is mired with so many political troubles, and many opportunists, even from within Dr Giri\'s neighbourhood, have tried to seek favours by way of persuasions or threats. This is my experience, and I supposed many other people including Dr Giri. I have worked in Nepal as a volunteer for the last 15 years, and noticed that it is very difficult work for the poors as the \'rich\' or the ones with \'political links\' want everything for themselves. This applies also to those who are considered ‘educated’ in the villages. This sad fact has increasingly forced various donors, both individuals, or NGOs to move out of Nepal, and notably enter the African country. This is a sad situation because Nepal’s beauty attracts everyone, but not the attitudes of various opportunists from the national to local level.

There is a lot of information on this site (http://www.nepalsathi.ws/) about Saping vilage. I know the founder of this Help Organisation was born there, and has done a lot of good work for his birth village. Also, he is probably the only person from Saping to complete a PhD degree; I am sure his family, and the village, if they understand his qualification, must be very proud of his achievements through very very hard work.
